“The Time Machine: A Tribute to the ‘80s” artwork featured elements referenced throughout the show. Writer & Director Daryl D. Brooks had a specific vision for the production- the Radio Raheem Boombox (from Spike Lee’s 1989 cult classic “Do the Right Thing”), the Bucket Hat of LL Cool J, Adidas Sneakers, Gold Chain, and tapes + magazines from the time all set the aesthetic and feel of the show.

The cast poster connected the aesthetic of the production with portrait approaches in the 1980s- specifically Andy Warhol’s portraits.
